We at Fosshotel Baron love to dress up and Öskudagur (Ash Wednesday) is a tradition when the children (and some adults:)) enjoy dressing up and having fun! The children go from shop to shop and sing for candy and they will be welcome here all day, but we also invite everyone to join us from 4p.m. to 5p.m. when we will be having a get together. We will be "breaking the cat out of the barrel", an Icelandic tradition where the kids will be able to take a swing at a barrel to release the candy within, listening to good music, and we will offer face painting for anyone interested, along with some fun activities for the kids.
A costume is not needed, just a smile will do :)
